Hiking in Lindshammar

"Höglandsleden" trail is part of the larger Smålandsleden. that totals 440 kms. In Lindshammar Höglandsleden crosses the "Vildmarksleden" trail, it strecthes from Klavreström and Lindshammar (38 kms).

From Lindshammar on Höglandsleden you can go west to Ramoa in Ramkvilla (22 kms) and Asa (another 15 kms) were we'd recommend Asa Herrgård

If you go east Wallby is a really nice stop, however yo will need a additional stop on the route.

NOTE! Sergel B+B is usually only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for check-in.
Public transport serves villages like Lindshammar (route 345 Vetlanda-Växjö), Ramkvilla, Tolg, Stenberga weekdays only. If your itinerary contais public transportation you will need to plan accordingly.
Norrhult and Klavreström (by the Vildmarksleden trail) is served all days.
During Corona/Covid tickets cannot be bought on board, you will need an app for tickets. Links to Region Jönköping (Vetlanda, Ramkvilla, Stenberga, Lindshammar) Region Kronoberg (Lindshammar, Klavreström, Växjö). Tickets can also be purchased via Swedish State Railways sj.se that also sells regional bus tickets.

Vildmarksleden Wilderness trail
Klavreström – Kolvesjö 13 km
Kolvesjö – Lindshammar 5,5 km
Lindhammar – Horshaga 10,4 km
Horshaga – Klavreström 8 km
Total 37 kms

The trail is marked with orange/red markings on trees and poles. Please note that the trail in some places joins riding trails. At Lindshammar it crosses the Höglandsleden trail, please consult a map and make sure that you follow the right trail!

We recommend walking clockwise. You need to bring drinking water. There are two shelters at Kolvesjö and Burlagga, both with toilet, fire place and litter bins.

Klavreström/Norrhult is served by public transport every day, Lindshammar weekdays only.
